Monografie Lotnicze / Aicraft Monograph Monografie Lotnicze has been the first and the most numerous series published by AJ-Press. So far we have had some 70 titles with several re-editions. Each book of the Aicraft Monographs series presents a detailed study of a selected type of aircraft, and usually consists of number of chapters which discuss important questions. The first chapter gives the history of development, with individual versions, projects and prototypes. This chapter is illustrated with photos obtained, among others, from the parent companies where the aircraft were produced, and with original drawings from design documentation. The chapter "Operational use" descibes fates of the aircraft in combat units - descriptions of combats, dates, names, lists of victories and losses, pilot's accounts and opinions - all that is necessary to give an accurate picture of the situation on the air front. Next part describes the aircraft's use by foreign users - either sold to other countries, licence-produced and developed, as well as those captured by the enemy. Camouflage and markings of aircraft are described in a separate chapter. This outlines standard camouflage patterns and markings, as well as changes introduced over years, with detailed descriptions. Also interesting unusual painting schemes, unit emblems and individual markings are descibed. Often the original paint designations and their modeller's counterparts are given. This part is best illustrated by colour artwotk. This depicts interesting camouflage examples, and are painted by top aviation artists who have worked with AJ-Press for years. Modellers will profit from the detailed technical description of the aircraft, illustrated with photos of details and factory drawings. Each publication also includes many pages of drawings of different versions of theaircraft to the modeller's scales of 1:72, 1:48 and 1:36. Most of these are done digitally.
