First chapter describes extensive history of Curtiss firm and is illustrated with a few dozen of photographs of Curtiss' projects. Then stories of Hawk prototype and competitors' designs are described. Hawk served in foreign countrie. One of the chapters is devoted to her fates there: China, India, Argentina, Thailand, France, Great Britain, South Africa, Narway, Peru, Holland, Germany, Finland, Brasil and others. Detailed operational service description will be published in part III. Moreover, development of XP-42 in included.
