GP 34 Halftrack vol.1
PL/ENG
Author: Patryk Janda
Translation: Adam Rajewski
Drawings: Sławomir Zajączkowski

A4 size, 232 pages,
213 b&w photos, 42 colour photos, 36 pages of scale plans, 90 drawings , A2 insert with 3 colour profiles and 1:16 drawings.

The first volume of the monograph starts with a historical description - the genesis of this class vehicles, focusing on American struggle for functional solutions, which have an effect of building the first successful vehicle - Half-Track M2. Further part of the monograph includes a detailed technical description of the vehicle, illustrated by 3D graphics and a lot of first-time published pictures (e.g. from a factory), showing the technical process of producing components and subsequent assembling of the final construction.

This is followed by description of defensive weaponry of Half-Track basic versions, i.e. a tractor and a personal carrier - cal. .30" and .50" machine guns. All non-specialized versions are presented and illustrated by five-views drawings in scale 1:35 and numerous pictures. Next chapter presents Half-Track as an universal weapon carrier - mortars, howitzers, anti-tank and anti-aircraft guns - text is accompanied by lots of photographs. The publication ends with color plates in scale 1:35 and a bunch of color pictures of museum pieces and fully operational vehicles participating in shows. Attached insert with five-views drawing of Half-Track M16 in scale 1:16 (the same as the Trumpeter model) and three color silhouettes in the same scale (one of them painted as the 1st Armoured Division of Polish Armed Forces in the West) will be welcomed by modellers.
