First (of three) volumes describes development of the tank: Harland & Wolff's A20 project, A22 tank by Vauxhalls, then design and development of the Churchill. Next chapters deal with special variants of the vehicle: flamethrowers, combat engineers' versions, engineering and recovery vehicles. Gun Carrier 3 in. Churchill Mk. I is also included.

Misprint: Scale plans are to 1:35 scale, not 1:50 as stated on drawing pages. We apologize for the mistake.
