New edition of this class vessels monograph is completely revised and expanded. Two parts are planned. First one describes political and economical background of designing and construction of the Japanese battleships (naval treaties, the Empire's economy and political crises, evolution of trends in Japanese shipbuilding). Detailed chapters cover construction of both ships, modernizations and their service - from the commisioning to sinking. Large-scale inserts include general plans of Nagato and Mutsu, as well as 3D views of Nagato (main superstructure, funnel, gun turrets).
